Top scorer Karna Limbu, who played a key role in MFC’s season bagged the best forward award while MFC mid-fielder Sushil KC was adjudged the best midfielder of the season. Likewise, MFC’s Hem Gurung was declared the best defender while MMC custodian Bishal Shrestha bagged the best goalkeeper award.
27-year old Limbu, who netted 11 goals in the season said he was elated with both his and MFC’s overall performance.
“I am delighted to have played a part in the team’s success. All the players have worked hard throughout the season. I am really happy with how things have ended for me and my team,” said Limbu.
Limbu also mentioned that MFC’s second-placed finish was an unexpected result considering their initial aim was to finish in the Top Six. “Finishing second, just a point behind MMC is an unbelievable result.
